Luxus in Pet Stores? Yes!

Luxus is now expanding to pet stores! In our pursuit of selling soaps with bracelets that match Enneagram types, we have also expanded our to pet necklaces. We are excited to announce that these were acquired by Pampered Pets in Bettendorf Iowa on March 13, 2025.

In December 2023, after selling soaps with bracelets that coincide with each enneagram type for our family business, my dad Jay Krause decided to add pet necklaces to the mix.

A closer look at one of the most popular necklace designs.

For a recap, when we sell our Luxus soaps, customers can also buy bracelets with bead colors that coincide with each Enneagram type. The link below explains the Enneagram more in depth.

We modeled them on our family dogs Olive and Meek and knew they would lighten our brand and make things even more personable. After all, who doesn’t like these photos?

For more of a detailed backstory on these necklaces, I wanted to share more of my dad’s story of how these came to be.

Finding the Correct Market

In 2021, when he first started making bracelets for our soap brand, he didn’t really think about the impact they would have at first. He had originally sold bracelets to friends with help from some word of mouth as well as at Artisan Markets with the soaps. But with some help from those friends that he sold to, they became increasingly popular and were being sold frequently even outside markets.

On Christmas 2023, he decided to think outside the box from just making bracelets for people. He expanded his skillsets to necklaces for pets.

“I wasn’t sure if they would stay on and such,” Krause said. “Both dogs kept them on without discomfort and Olive even begs to have them put on.”

My dad also alluded to the fact that it took general awareness and meeting new people along the way to help these become a success.

“People at first were concerned that they were too large and would not fit,” he said. “I ran into the owner at Pampered Pets and I mentioned that I was selling these. She was nice enough to offer to put them on the front desk as people walk in.”

Part of the challenge with pet necklaces is the varying sizes of the pets. Bracelets tend to be closer in sizes for human wrists but large dogs and small dogs especially vary so much that it can be hard to anticipate how well a necklace design will fit for each dog breed. This is why selling at the pet store will allow these to be marketed more closely to pets specifically. There will be a much higher chance that these will land in the hands of dog breeds of the appropriate size.

“We definitely feel like this will allow us to get these in the hands of more pets. Getting these in the correct market will be key.”
